The Salt Lake Art Center and School

The Salt Lake Art Center was founded in 1931 as a private, non-profit institution to champion contemporary visual arts in Utah. The Art Center was originally located in The Art Barn, near the University of Utah, where the first classroom and education program was offered to the public.
Over the years, the Art Center School has maintained its commitment to provide quality art instruction for adults through an outstanding curriculum in Ceramics and Photography for all skill levels. In addition to regular classes, special workshops covering various topics in both Ceramics and Photography are frequently offered. Regular classes run approximately 16 weeks, coinciding with the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College semesters.

Access and Parking
The Art Center School classrooms are located on the lower level of the Salt Lake Art Center. Students can gain access to the classrooms through the main Art Center entrance on West Temple during regular gallery hours (Tues-Sat 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 1-5PM). Parking is available at the Crossroads Parking Garage. Metered parking is also available on South and West Temple Streets.
